Activity Director

The Activity Director oversees the day-to-day programming of the Dementia Day Center. Responsibilities include developing, implementing, and managing activities within the center and providing support to day center families. Tasks also require interfacing with agency donors, volunteers, and clients. Other duties and tasks as assigned. This position reports to the Day Center Director. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, plus one year of full-time experience in working with the elderly or people with disabilities in a human service or medically related program OR Sixty semester hours from an accredited college or university, plus two years of full-time experience in working with the elderly or people with disabilities in a human service or medically related program OR completion of a state-approved activity director’s course, plus two years of full-time experience in working with the elderly or people with disabilities in a human service or medically related program.
Experience working with older adults, preferably those with Alzheimer’s disease or another form of dementia and Activity Director Certification preferred.

Receptionist

The Receptionist acts as the first point of contact for CarePartners. Responsibilities include greeting families, clients, and visitors to the Dementia Day Center and answering and triaging incoming calls. Tasks also require interfacing with agency donors and volunteers. Other duties and tasks as assigned. This position reports to Operations Manager. Associate degree from college or university, or equivalent combination of administrative experience, training, or education, minimum of 2 years of general office experience preferred, experience working with older adults, preferably those with Alzheimer’s disease or another form of dementia preferred.

Operations Manager

The Operations Manager oversees day-to-day office administrative operations. Responsibilities include providing support to the President, Vice President, & COO, management of accounting and office tasks, maintenance of office systems and processes, and assistance with special projects.  Tasks also require interfacing with agency donors, volunteers, and clients. Other duties and tasks as assigned.  This position reports to the President. Associate degree from college or university, or equivalent combination of administrative experience, training, or education.  Minimum of 3 years of general office experience and experience in the non-profit sector preferred.

Care Team® Coordinator

The Care Team Coordinator supervises and maintains the functioning of assigned volunteer care team programs. Responsibilities include providing support services and on-going training and education for volunteers, assistance with the recruitment of volunteers and families to served, maintenance and processing of required agency documentation, and attendance at scheduled meetings. Tasks also require interfacing with community agencies and religious organizations. Other duties and tasks as assigned. This position reports to the Vice President. Please note we are accepting application through the end of November and will be scheduling interviews in early December. Position starts January 2022. Bachelor’s Degree (preferred), 3-5 years of related work experience and experience in dementia care or geriatrics (professional or personal) or coordinating volunteers preferred. Multimedia Internship (Unpaid)

Job Description Summary:
CarePartners, a nonprofit organization in Houston, is seeking a Multimedia Intern for Fall 2021 to plan, implement and monitor CarePartners Social Media strategy in order to advance CarePartners brand awareness, improve marketing efforts and increase community engagement. The Multimedia Intern helps CarePartners engage with clients, donors, volunteers, partners and the general public by enhancing its image and increasing awareness of its programs and services.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Develops and provides web-based multimedia content and services
  • Researches and develops themes and content ideas for online and print publications including conducting interviews, writing, editing, and publishing articles for various multimedia formats
  • Provides photographic services to produce materials integrated across a variety of multimedia formats
  • Provides videography services including motion graphic rending and audio/video conversion and editing
  • Develops and maintains content distribution networks through social media channels including content for feeds and snippets in various social media sites
  • Creates and maintains a digital library of photographs, video, graphic designs, and program collateral
  • Assist in scheduling and posting to various social media accounts
  • Reporting Google Analytics

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in social media platforms
  • Experience in digital campaigns
  • Junior or Senior majoring in Communications field in College

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Experience in digital advertising tools (social media ads, Google Ads)
  • Experience working with HTML/CSS on WordPress
  • Experience with digital photography and video
  • Strong organizational, program and project skills
  • Microsoft Office- minimum mid-level proficient
  • Ability to problem solve, critical thinking and to continuously improve process, practices and tools
  • Ability to facilitate and problem solve
  • Ability to speak and write effectively

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand for full shift
  • Ability to sit at a desk and do general office work, which includes periodic sedentary responsibility
  • Ability to work some Saturday or Sundays out of the month
