Join us online for a free caregiver workshop in partnership with Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. We are so excited to offer two different speakers from 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Our first speaker is Andrea Zaite, MSSA, LMSW, CMC, C-ASWCM, sharing her tips on how to approach important conversations related to the aging process with your loved ones. This presentation will dive into several major life issues we face as we age: medical issues and documents, legal documents and planning, how I want my last days to look, resources to help have difficult conversations and understand why you should.
Following a short break, Kimberly Valdez, LMSW, is presenting Caregiving Through Uncertainty. Have a discussion about dealing with unexpected changes, especially in the time of COVID-19. During the workshop, you will learn strategies for stress management, self-care and setting realistic expectations with yourself and your care team.
