Our peer support groups are called Common Ground because they offer a way for caregivers to find strength in community. They are designed to be a safe space where family caregivers can talk, share wisdom, and support each other. Caregivers can also access resources, emotional support, and connections with others on their caregiving journey.
CarePartners offers three specialized Common Ground groups for caregivers’ needs:
Common Ground groups meet both in person and online.
The online General Caregiving meets every Tuesday at 10:00 A.M.
The online Grief Support meets every Tuesday at 2:00 P.M.

Yes. While many of our support group attendees are caregivers of individuals with dementia, the groups are open to all caregivers of older adults.
Often, caregivers who have an established relationship with a Common Ground support group continue to attend the meetings after a loved one has passed away. We also offer a weekly virtual Grief Common Ground group to support the post-caregiving journey, which caregivers are welcome to participate in whether or not they attended Common Ground before their loved one’s passing.
Yes, many of our Common Ground support groups are held in conjunction with a Gathering Place program so caregivers and their loved ones can attend simultaneously.
